Armchair Molteni & C D.153.1MOLTENI&C

Description

The D.153.1 armchair, designed in 1953, is part of the furniture of the private house of Joe Ponti on Via Dezza in Milan. This reprint is made by Molteni&C based on original drawings from the Ponti archives.
Brass structure, coated in two-tone white-blue leather or Punteggiato fabric, developed by Ponti for Rubelli in 1934. The fabric reinterprets the centuries-old velvet weaving technique, updating it with modern patterns, such as tight sequences of chess discs with different gradations of color. Exhibited at Salone del Mobile 2012, the D.153.1 chair completes the Gio Ponti furniture collection.
